Tuesday September 24th, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence - https://www.trybooking.com/CVFRD
Cost: Free. Open to high school students in yr 5-10, and teachers.
Day of AI Australia and the ECU School of Science are pleased to offer this Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) for students in Years 5-10, and teachers. You will get hands-on with different AI tools and explore what AI is, how it works, ethical implications, and ways to apply AI. This is the first time we are offering this exciting workshop, in a collaboration with Day of AI Australia.

An intelligence workshop for high school students interested in learning about working in Security and Intelligence. Engage in activities, including research and analysis tasks, logical thinking and strategy exercises and 'Who Dun It?' style investigations.

Join us for an educational, cyber security role playing adventure. Cyber Team Red: UnityCo Mission is a role play game (RPG) that explores cyber security concepts using teamwork, problem solving and communication. Adopt the role of an elite cyber professional, making decisions and dealing with the consequences as you work to successfully achieve a cyber security mission (no prior experience required). This facilitated workshop will help you to explore skills and learn about careers in the cyber industry.

Friday September 27th, Jump into Game Creation (2024 repeat)

Cost: $18.50. Open to high school students, teachers and parents.
A coding workshop for those familiar with coding and basic coding concepts (intermediate - knowledge of Python required) to create a 2D game where you avoid enemies and jump across buildings. This workshop will give you an overview of how game characters are coded, how levels are created and how to put everything together to make a game.
