Anglicare Winter Appeal
As part our commitment to embedding the culture of community and service in our young people, the Middle School students are supporting Anglicare and their 2024 Winter Appeal with a fundraising initiative on Friday 21 June.
Now more than ever, children, young people, families, and communities in Western Australia are experiencing some of the most difficult times. By giving generously, we will be able to provide some relief to help those who are the most vulnerable. Donations could provide food vouchers, winter clothing, counselling, and emergency relief to those families who need support.
For a minimum donation of $3, all Middle School students and staff are encouraged to wear their winter pyjamas and included in this donation; they will receive a hot Milo and a cookie during Year Level time. We encourage your child to give of themselves during this time, for example, by giving pocket money or doing chores around the house to make their donation more meaningful as they make a difference. Bigger donations are warmly invited. This could be a great discussion point with your family, and you may like to make a bigger contribution to this worthy cause, as every dollar counts and stays in Western Australia.
Donations will be collected during PCG time and lactose intolerant and gluten free options for Milo and cookies will be made available for students. If your child has food intolerances or food allergies, please let your child’s respective Head of Year know via email so that other options can be offered.
We also ask that you support us in ensuring your child attends school suitably attired and in the spirit that this day is intended. Correct footwear must be worn (sport shoes, not skate shoes), hair must be tied back, and if your child chooses not to wear PJs or what they would usually wear to bed, they are expected to attend in their normal House uniform.
We are excited to continue developing the culture of service that embraces our School’s value of Community.
