Lua is competing in the 10-12 Years Championship and Jurgens is in the 13-19 Years Championship.

Fees not paid on time without an alternative payment arrangement in place will incur a late payment charge of $22.
Parent teacher interviews will be held on Monday 1 August for families of students in Years 10 and 11. These interviews form an integral part of the continuous feedback model adopted by the School.
We welcome parents and students to meet with the staff to discuss progress and improvements in various subject areas.
We have moved to an online environment for parent teacher interviews, and interviews will be for 7 minutes. Timing is important as we need to be able to move to the next parent waiting their turn online.
Booking interviews is through PTO online. The bookings are now live.

You do not need to book interviews with all your child’s teachers (you can be selective in your choice). Bookings will close on Sunday 31 July.

From Term 3, parents will be able to view their child's instrumental music timetable online at any time using our new online Music module. Parents must log in with the email address currently on file with St Mark's. You will then receive a once-off verification code to confirm your email address.
Once logged in, you can view your child's timetable for the entire term. If your child learns multiple instruments or you have multiple children, you should be able to see all lessons for that week. We recommend checking the timetable the night before your child's lesson, in case there have been any changes or swaps during the week. Tutors will no longer need to send out timetables, as the latest version is now available online at all times.
Please let the Music Department know if you are having issues logging in or viewing your child's timetable. At this stage, please check times each week as we are still finalising Week 3 lessons onwards. We hope this change will be a positive one for our Music community and welcome your feedback along the way.
Whilst mask wearing is not mandatory, we strongly encourage masks to be worn during instrumental lessons where physical distancing is not possible. If your child is home due to sickness, we are encouraging tutors and students to have online lessons via Teams so that they do not miss out on their scheduled lesson.
The ASC Combined Schools Concert is one of the highlights of our music calendar and brings all fourteen ASC schools from across Australia together in the Perth Concert Hall to make amazing music every two years. The next concert will be held on Friday 31 March 2023, and information packs are now available.
Whatever your musical tastes, the ASC Combined Schools Concert has an ensemble or band for you. The open ensembles/bands (no audition required) are Concert Band, Massed Choir, String Orchestra, Percussion Group and Indigenous Student Performance Group. The auditioned ensembles/bands are Symphony Orchestra, Select Choir, Stage Band, Rock Band, HipHop Group and Solo parts. In addition, we are excited to launch the first-ever ASC Songwriter competition! Entry is open to all students currently in Years 5 - 11; however, entry is not automatic (even for open ensembles). You should discuss the difficulty of the repertoire with your tutor/ensemble director as a first step.
If you would like to be involved, please download and read the information pack and follow the instructions. Auditioned groups require you to record yourself playing or singing at your best and upload it online before completing an online application form.
All sign-ups, videos and applications must be submitted by Sunday 21 August 2022. Successful applicants will be notified early in Term 4.

Our Old Scholars' Association Little Lions Playgroup is on for Term 4!
Our Little Lions Playgroup is a community-based group and is run in conjunction with Playgroup WA.
It is held every Friday during term time from 8.45am - 10.30am, and caters for children up to school age.

Attention female and gender-diverse high school students.

The topic is Artificial Intelligence and coding a ChatBot.
Girls Programming Network is a program that helps girls and gender-diverse students learn more about coding. GPN offers a safe learning environment where tech stars offer you support over the day. Come along, make friends, meet people with similar interests, and learn to code.
Join Year 10 student Kayla in her quest to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis - a charity very dear to her heart after losing two aunties to the disease. She will participate in CF's 'Bring It On' event, where she will climb Perth's Matagarup Bridge and zipline her way back down on Saturday 17 September.
If you'd like the chance to reach the top of Matagraup Bridge by climbing, shimmying, sliding and squeezing through tight spaces to reach the 72-metre mark, then make sure you join Kayla and her family for 'Bring It On'.
All funds raised will help Cystic Fibrosis WA continue their vital support services and research funding for people living with cystic fibrosis.

The Christian Leaders Scholarship assists and encourages meritorious students who have demonstrated excellence in the fields of Christian leadership and community service to cultivate them to be the next generation of leaders in our society.
The scholarship is open to students currently in Year 12 (ATAR), intending to undertake full-time university studies in 2023.

AVCAT scholarships, including the Long Tan Bursary, are tertiary scholarships for the children and grandchildren of Australian ex-serving veterans. Scholarships are $4000–$6000 per year for three years.

The Respect Stories competition is part of the Australian Government’s Stop it at the Start campaign.
The purpose is to prompt school-aged children to think deeply about respect and disrespect and what it means to them. The competition also acts as a conversation starter, giving adults a launchpad to discuss respect with the young people in their lives. This is a great opportunity for students of St Mark’s Anglican Community School to have their essay, poem, short story or drawing published and win $500 for themselves and for their school!
The competition end date has been extended to 11.59 pm on 14 August 2022, and winners will be announced in late August 2022.
The competition judges include the respected author and parenting expert Maggie Dent, and author and presenter Jo Stanley.

Kallaroo Anglican Church hosts a Kids Club for Pre-Primary – Year 6 every Wednesday during the school term from 4.30 to 5.30pm.
