We have some important information for Year 12 students applying for a university place in Western Australia in 2022, in regards to scholarship opportunities and early offers.
TISC – Tertiary Institutions Services Centre
Some universities will be making early offers again this year. Curtin, ECU and Murdoch are handling early offers through TISC, while UWA is handling early offers by direct application.
TISC’s application portal will open on Monday 19 April. If students wish to apply before that date, all universities will accept applications made directly to them. The method of application will not affect the likelihood of receiving an early offer.
Students should consult university websites for details of any documentation required and should always check the wording of their early offer carefully, so they are aware of any conditions which must be met for the offer to be confirmed at the end of the year. The TISC Board has decided that there will be no cost to apply through TISC this year.
Curtin – Conditional Offers
Applications to study at Curtin in 2022 are now open for most courses. Year 12s can apply at curtin.edu/apply and Curtin will assess their eligibility based on their year 11 WACE results. From 19 April, applicants can apply through TISC
If students are on track to meet the admission criteria, they may receive an offer to study at Curtin in 2022. All offers are on the condition that when Year 12 results are released at the end of the year, students meet the ATAR and any other admission criteria for the course offered.
Courses with limited places
Applications for courses in the list below (those with limited places) will open 19 April through TISC. Applicants for these courses won’t receive an offer until exam results are released at the end of the year

Alternative Pathways
As always, students who don’t meet the admission criteria may be eligible for alternative pathways including portfolio entry, UniReady or Access Curtin. Access Curtin was introduced in 2020 for those who are ineligible for any other pathway. It allows applicants who meet English and any specified prerequisites to be considered for a place in courses that have a 70 ATAR requirement, provided they pass two of the first four units of their course.
Open Day: Save the date for Curtin’s Open Day Sunday 30th May, further information will be available on our website soon.
ECU – Conditional Offers
ECU have now launched their Early Offer Program for 2022. This pathway gives them a conditional offer of a place at ECU before they start their exams. It is aimed at Year 12s with expected ATARs or completing Certificate IV studies.
Year 12 students will need to know their predicted ATAR and/or provide us with a copy of their latest school results when applying for an ECU Early Offer.
Early offers are available for a huge variety of ECU undergraduate courses. For a full list of eligible courses and to answer all your questions, please visit the ECU Early Offer Program page.
Murdoch – Conditional Offers
Murdoch University will offer a Year 12 Early Offer Scheme for 2022 admission for current Year 12 students, to allow students to make early applications and reduce uncertainty for students.
Year 12’s are able to apply for entry into Semester 1, 2022 from 8am Tuesday 30th March 2021. The Year 12 Early Offer Program will allow students to apply based on their Year 11 ATAR subject results, or by identifying that they are on a recognised pathway to university (e.g. Cert IV, Enabling Program, or Portfolio Entry).
Successful applicants will be made a conditional offer. The condition for students who are made offers based on their Year 11 ATAR results, will be the completion of Year 12. For students on a General Pathway, the condition will be completion of Year 12 and successful completion of the pathway.
Veterinary Science and Nursing will not be available for the Early Offer Program. Students wishing to apply for these courses will need to do so via TISC and offers will not be made until the processing of final Year 12 results has occurred.
The link to apply can be found at Murdoch Admissions Pathways. This link also hosts FAQs. Students will only need to apply once to Murdoch. If they change their course preference, there will be instructions in their offer letter on how to do this.
When applying, students will need an electronic copy of their Year 11 end of year subject report (PDF or JPEG is fine) and a short personal statement, details of which are outlined in the FAQs. Murdoch will be providing offers on a rolling basis to students as soon as their application has been assessed.
Should students have questions about Murdoch courses, or require assistance in submitting their application, they can call our Meet Murdoch team on 1300 687 3624. Meet Murdoch is open every weekday from 8am to 6pm to assist future students.
Notre Dame - Young Achievers' Early Offer Program
Notre Dame's 2022 Young Achievers' Early Offer Program opens on 21 April. Year 12 students can register their interest to receive more info. Year 12 students have the opportunity to secure a place prior to commencing their final exams.
UWA – Unconditional and Conditional Offers
Year 12s can apply for places at UWA based on their Year 11 results.
Predicted ATAR entry
Offers are based on your predicted ATAR score from the end of Year 11 or mid-Year 12 if available. Students must exceed the entry requirements for their nominated course by three ATAR points to receive an unconditional offer for courses requiring an ATAR up to 92 and one ATAR point for courses above 92.
If your predicted ATAR meets the entry requirements for your nominated UWA course but does not exceed the entry requirement by three ATAR points you will receive a conditional offer – conditional that you receive the entry requirement for final Year 12 ATAR or by successfully completing STAT.
ATAR based entry
Students can use their final Year 12 ATAR to apply for UWA courses, applying either direct or via TISC.
STAT entry
Even if you’re not taking enough ATAR subjects for university entry (or not taking ATAR at all), you can still apply to UWA through a Special Tertiary Admissions Test. Year 12 students completing VET qualifications are eligible for this pathway.
Eligibility
- All students must satisfy UWA's English requirements and any subject prerequisite requirements.
- All students must complete Year 12 with an ATAR, or gain entry via the STAT pathway if not sitting the ATAR.
- Student can apply now for all degrees excluding Direct Pathways to Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Podiatry.
- Students can also apply via TISC using their final ATAR, preferencing UWA in the TISC system when open.
