If a due date falls on a weekend or public holiday, payment is due the next working day.

A LATE PAYMENT FEE of $22 will be charged to your account if payment or notification is not received by the due date.

Due to the current statewide shortages and supply issues, the Canteen is experiencing difficulties in obtaining fresh chicken. We regret to inform that until these issues are resolved we are unable to include chicken in sandwiches, wraps, rolls, salads, curries and Turkish breads. We understand this is very disappointing to many students, and please be assured that we are doing our best to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We thank you for your understanding.

Due to the pandemic, recent world events in Ukraine and the impact of the floods in Queensland and NSW, the world we now live in is a very different place. The hyperconnected nature of our current environment means we are constantly being reminded of the challenges we face via numerous media and social media channels. Our connectivity to the digital world exposes us to a barrage of messages that can leave us feeling overwhelmed. As a result, many children and their parents are reporting higher levels of stress and anxiety.

Unfortunately, our brains have not evolved fast enough to adapt to this digital landscape. The combination of constant access to information and having little control over the situations presented can be stressful and overwhelming. It is therefore important for adult carers to check in with their children and be aware of what information they may have been exposed to. It may not necessarily be the information itself that is harmful, but more their inability to process and make sense of it. Providing children with the skills and strategies to cope will enable them to flourish and thrive, socially, emotionally and academically.

Career planning for students on the autism spectrum – a webinar for parents and carers
For 20 years, myfuture has been a trusted source of career information within the Australian education community providing content that is practical, targeted and developed by experts. As well as supporting students, teachers and career practitioners, myfuture provides tools and resources to help parents and carers support their child’s career exploration, engage them in career conversations and raise awareness of post-school options.

In this Insights webinar, Associate Professor Marina Ciccarelli from Curtin University and Cheryl Mangan from Autism CRC will provide information about the myWAY Employability evidence-based resources available to assist young people on the autism spectrum with transition planning, to build their employability, and to maximise their potential.

The Dolphin Program was created by members of Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to join a group within the club with an emphasis on fun while maintaining a strong club feel and loyalty.

Coordinated and supervised by qualified Sorrento Surf Life Saving volunteers, opportunities include swimming fitness, board skills, life saving knowledge, beach activities, surf awareness, teamwork, community education and, most importantly, social interaction.

With the return of the Sisters Under 14’s and Under 17’s rugby teams, Joondalup Sisters are seeking coaches to assist with the support and development of these teams. The suitable candidates will receive full support and assistance with gaining their coaching accreditations. The Anglican Schools Commission International is looking for caring families to host regional, interstate and international students intending to study at St Mark’s Anglican Community School.

A home stay provides a student with the opportunity to live in a home setting, taking away some of the stresses of living away from family. It also gives them insight into Australian culture and the chance to further build their English language skills. In return, your family with have the opportunity to learn more about your guest's home country and expand your own global horizons. Many lifelong friendships are built through home stays, and it can be very rewarding both the host family and the student. Hosts are also paid a weekly fee.

With the WA borders reopening this week, many students are looking to travel to Perth and the majority of these will need home stay families.
