For those families who are still to choose a payment option, please do so as soon as possible. A Payment Nomination form (found here) OR Direct Debit form is required, not both.

On Friday 18 March 2022 St Mark’s is participating in the World’s Greatest Shave, where students and teachers will either cut, shave or colour their hair to raise much needed funds for blood cancer research. Shaving is the ultimate act of solidarity, and the hair that is cut (20cm or more) is donated and used to create charitable wigs that cancer patients can wear during treatment.
The World’s Greatest Shave is run by the Leukaemia Foundation, which is currently the only national charity dedicated to helping those who are fighting or have fought leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or other blood related cancers. Everyday, it is expected that 15 people will lose their life to blood cancer or a related blood disorder. This means that over 5,700 Australians are expected to lose their lives this year. When combined, blood cancers are the second most diagnosed cancer in Australia, and the second most common cause of cancer-related deaths in the country.
If you would like to participate on the day you can sign up by going to the World’s Greatest Shave Website. You will need to join the St Marks ACS 2022 team and create a profile. From there, you can start fundraising. If you would like to support our students and teachers you can donate to them on their separate profiles or by donating to the school profile. We hope to raise $20,000 this year.
Please note that due to the ever evolving Covid situation, this event may be modified to comply with restrictions at the time of the event.

Unfortunately due to the restrictions related on holding events on school grounds, the St Marks P&F Committee has made the decision to postpone the Fete in its current form, to 2023. While it is a disappointing decision, the P&F felt it was not feasible to continue with the event in its current form, at an alternative venue.
We thank all those that have volunteered their time to work at the Fete and to help with the planning and preparation up to this point. Please be assured that we will be doing our very best to provide opportunities for parents to volunteer their time throughout 2022. The Fete organising committee are meeting soon to discuss some alternatives during this year.
If you know someone who has volunteered for a timeslot and they did not provide an email contact, please pass this information on to them.
Thank you all again.
