The Great Cook Up
The St Mark's Salvation Army Great Cook Up returned in Term 1 of 2025.
It was a great afternoon, and the kitchen buzzed with St Mark's community spirit. The onions were pungent, and there were plenty of tears going around! It was great to see new faces and families coming along for the first time.
Students worked alongside their parents, each cooking meals for the Salvation Army. 8 full Bain Maries were filled with amazing cooked meals (approx. 150 meals) that were served to the homeless and those living rough on the streets over the following weekend.
Well done to all students and parents who attended the afternoon. Brett and the team from the Salvation Army Team are Truly Grateful for all the meals.
The OSA would like to give a special thanks to Mrs Gilham and Mrs Snape from Food Technology for allowing the OSA and the St Mark's Community to prepare and cook meals in their rooms. We sincerely appreciate your support.
