St Mark's OSA / Salvation Army Cook-Up - Term 3 2024

On Wednesday, August 14th, the St Mark's community came together for a cherished tradition—the Term 3 Salvation Army Cook Up. The St Mark's community volunteered their time to prepare meals, showcasing the strong spirit of collaboration and support that defines our school. This initiative saw a wonderful mix of students and parents from both the Junior and Middle Schools, fostering a spirit of collaboration and community engagement.

The afternoon was filled with laughter and teamwork as students enjoyed the opportunity to work alongside their parents, preparing meals that would make a difference in the lives of those in need. The effort culminated in the creation of 10 full Bain Maries filled with approximately 150 delicious meals, which were distributed to the homeless and those living rough on the streets over the following weekend.

The kitchen buzzed with energy and enthusiasm, showcasing the strong community spirit that St Mark's is known for. A heartfelt thank you to all the students and parents who dedicated their time and effort to this meaningful cause. The Salvation Army team expressed their deep gratitude for the generous contributions made by our school, highlighting the positive impact of such community initiatives.

Well done to everyone involved!
