CAS Results - Term 2, Week 4
Our netballers and footballers had a fabulous week against Prindiville with wins all around, but unfortunately, our soccer stars found the going a little tough.
NETBALL
7a Girls WIN 31-10
In a very physical game, our girls got their first win. Isla and Peggy were outstanding throughout, but in the end, it was a great team effort for four quarters.
7b Girls WIN 31-10
With a few players short, our girls stepped up in a scrappy game. Sophie, Lucy and Farrah had great games. Highlights were aplenty as there were some great passages of play with the team moving the ball skilfully from the defensive third into attack.
8 Girls Win 26-20
The girls came out with a fast start in the first quarter. After that, it was a battle, but the team managed to hang on for a very good win. Great, Gracie and Abi stepped up to be solid contributors.
9 Girls WIN 36-9
A great defensive effort by the girls restricted the opposition to only nine goals. Jaimie, Hannah and Mackenzie set up many attacks from the defensive third, with Hannah finishing off their great work.
Senior Girls WIN 54-18
A tight first quarter before the girls turned it on to outscore the opposition 24-1 in the second quarter. After half-time, the girls relaxed and rotated into different positions to enjoy a great win. Holly, Chloe and Maya were the best, but really all contributed.
SOCCER
7 Girls WIN 1-0
The girls scored their first goal and, by keeping out the opposition attacks, earned themselves a great win. With a bunch of girls playing for their first time, this team is enjoying getting better each week. Charlotte, Jorja and Jazz were amazing, but everyone contributed.
7 Boys LOSS 2-3
Down 3-0, the boys showed a huge amount of heart to fight back. They scored the last two goals of the game to go down 2-3. A great team performance!
8/9 Girls LOSS 0-6
The girls came up against a strong team. Although they created some chances, they did not have the scoring power to get past their keeper. Lois, Nadia, Ava and Belle led the defensive charge.
8/9 Boys LOSS 0-5
The boys were gallant in defeat as they fought hard against a quality opposition. Tom and Oliver led the resistance, but the team could not get past their keeper. The boys still loved the challenge and are training hard to get their first win.
Senior Girls WIN 4-1
With eleven players for the first time, the girls went into the top-of-the-table clash, ready for a tough game. They were up for the challenge as they won in a strong team performance. Chloe finished off the team’s great work with four goals.
Senior Boys LOSS 0-10
Wow, we have seen a lot of CAS games but have not come across a team like Prendiville played with. We had a relatively strong team on the pitch, but they arrived full of Glory Academy and high-level players. To our boys' credit, they never gave in.
AFL
7 Boys WIN 8-8 (56) to 1-1 (7)
Great win by the boys to continue their undefeated streak. The defence was strong, restricting them to only two scoring shots. Midfield worked hard, and the forwards finished off the team's good work. Charlie got three goals. With Jayden, Harry, Dylan, Theo and Casper all getting one each. The next game is against the undefeated Peter Moyes, so we hope the boys are up for the challenge.
8/9 Boys WIN – Forfeit
Unfortunately, Prendiville forfeited their fixture on the day. Our boys had trained during the week and were ready to play. Although disappointed, they will be excited to play next week.
