CAS Round 6 Recap V Lake Joondalup Baptist College (LJBC)

Round 6 of CAS sports brought plenty of excitement, teamwork, and smiles as our students faced off against Lake Joondalup Baptist College (LJBC). Regardless of wins or losses, the spirit and camaraderie on display were truly commendable. With impressive victories across multiple sports and age groups, our teams showcased their skills and determination. Here's how the action unfolded:

Year 7-9 Touch Rugby Girls Result: Bye

Year 7 Basketball Girls Result: Win – 40-6

Year 8 Basketball Girls Result: Win 70-27
The Year 8 girls' basketball team continued to dominate and remain undefeated. Straight from the tip-off, the girls took control of the game and scored immediately. St Mark's continued a remarkable lead in the game. In true St Mark’s spirit, two players from our team went to help LJBC lift their scores, which demonstrated excellent sportsmanship. Well done to our girls with an impressive score of 70-27.

Year 9 Basketball Girls Result: Win – 72-14

Year 7 Basketball Boys Result: Win - 68-24

Year 8 Basketball Boys Result: Win - 71-14
The boys played a great game against LJBC. We struggled with our finishing, but our fastbreaks and sharing the ball really stood out and helped us secure the win 71-14. During the game, we made sure our opponents didn't come back and take control of the game. There weren't really any standout players because everyone played well as a team.
