ELC Bulletin - Term 1, Week 7

The SEQTA Engage App now allows parents to notify the school of their child's absence. We encourage all families to use this method for reporting if your child is late, leaving early, or absent for a day. For absences longer than 3 days, please email using the absentee email address.

To enter your child's absences into SEQTA Engage, simply log in as usual, and you'll see a new tab called Absence at the top of the Welcome panel. Remember to include your name and reason for absences in the comment section.

Reminder to all families to update your School App subscriptions on your mobile device for 2024. You may otherwise be missing new extra-curricular, general or appropriate year-level notices.

In preparation for our Easter activities, we'd really appreciate your support in donating clean empty 1-litre milk cartons.

We aim to collect 110 cartons in total. Please drop them off at the ELC Upcycling Centre (near ELC back door facing Endeavour Road) when you get the chance.

Your contributions will make our Easter celebrations even more exciting.

Orders closed last week. If you did place an online order from the Book Club catalogue, please be aware that delivery to the School is expected during the last week of this term and orders will be sent home with relevant children once received. Sometimes deliveries are delayed until the first week of the following term.

1. KINDY Speech & Occupational Therapy Assessments by External Therapists - finish this week

SP & OT Assessments-2024

The External Therapists will communicate assessment results directly with parents via email early next term.

2. KINDY Health Assessments by Government Community Nurse – FORMS WENT HOME RECENTLY

Enveloped paper forms were sent home with Kindy children recently for parents to complete and return to teachers in the ‘confidential’ envelope provided.

In addition to the speech and occupational therapy screening mentioned above, which is a St Mark’s initiative, a Government-appointed Community Nurse will carry out a general health check on all the Kindergarten children later this year (likely during Term 2). Please return the paper forms to your class teacher as soon as possible. Thank you.

The St Mark's Parents & Friends' Association cordially invites all members of our School community to join them for the annual Welcome Sundowner on Tuesday 26 March 2024. The P&F's Annual General Meeting will follow the Sundowner.

The Sundowner and AGM will be held in the Barbara Godwin Performing Arts Complex.

• 6.30pm to 7.30pm - Sundowner
• 7.30pm to 9.30pm - Annual General Meeting* in the Barbara Godwin Performing Arts Complex

As per the constitution, all office positions will be made vacant at our AGM. Nominations are open now, and nomination forms are available from the Secretary, secretary.pf@stmarks.wa.edu.au.

We have three key roles for which volunteers will not be re-nominating as they leave the school; their children graduated at the end of 2023.

We would like to thank Tracey Forder (outgoing President), Ros Hawker (outgoing Treasurer), and Jill Charlish (outgoing community events coordinator) for their service and welcome some new faces to these and other roles in advance.

The POSTMEN are putting on a day of fun on Saturday 23 March at Outback Splash! Dads and Father Figures are invited to bring their kids along to enjoy a day of swimming and water slides.

It’s an opportunity to build some memories, connect with other POSTMEN and possibly give Mum a bit of peace and quiet.

A sausage sizzle will be provided for lunch, and we have subsidised the cost of the tickets to make them much more affordable.

Please include your child’s name (first name and surname) and class/year level in the subject line of the email.
